ASWA designed the new "Honeyful Cafe," inspired by the honeycomb structure, and it is located in the Sukhumvit district of Bangkok. This neighborhood is known for its upscale residential areas, department stores, local goods, and a variety of restaurants and cafes.
Originally dedicated to showcasing the wonders of honey, the cafe's owner embarked on a comprehensive renovation and redesign at its prime location in front of the Ariston Hotel in the Sukhumvit area, in Bangkok. The reimagined Honeyful Cafe now presents a delightful menu featuring a daily selection of artisanal honey, gourmet coffee, flavour ice cream, and an enticing brunch that invites guests to savor every bite. Spanning an indoor area of 15 by 5 square meters, the cafe's design maximizes limited space, creating an intimate yet inviting atmosphere.
The overall concept draws inspiration from the intricate design of honeycombs, with the structure featuring an impressive overhead plane that forms a floating hexagon, evoking the beauty of nature's craftsmanship. Architecturally, the cafe is topped with a unique hexagonal roof that enhances its honeycomb motif, and the wood-plastic composite material adds a touch of warmth and sophistication. At the same time, the glass walls create an enchanting illusion of levitation, inviting natural light to flood the interior. By adding a solid plane to position the logo outside, the inside displays the products, welcoming customers to own them.
Inside, the layout is thoughtfully organized to feature two distinct cafe spaces: Honeyful and Leafly Cafe, the sisterhood brand from Honeyful, flanking a communal kitchen situated at the center. This design not only fosters a sense of community but also encourages interaction among guests. The interior is characterized by cozy window seating that beckons visitors to pause and relax, offering an ideal vantage point to enjoy the bustling surroundings. A warm and inviting color palette, combined with an airy atmosphere, enhances the cafe's charm, making it a sanctuary for those seeking a delightful escape from the city's hustle and bustle. Honeyful Cafe is more than just a place to enjoy food and drink; it is an experience that celebrates the sweetness of life.
